I liked how comfortable the MASK was, even when I had it packed to the brim with a huge laptop, power brick, laptop stand, textbooks, computer cables, headphones, mouse, 2 1.5" 3-ring binders, spiral notebooks, a Ti-83 calculator, and the usual pens/pencils/stapler etc. that a college student needs these days. Unfortunately, the layout of the MASK proved to be its downfall. The laptop compartment has a zippered pouch at the bottom for things like the laptop power brick, which is a great idea in theory In practice however, it was hard to access that pouch when you had headphones or a large network cable in the Velcro loop they provide. Also, the pockets in that section were too small to hold any of my computer mice (Logitech G500, G700s, and a MadCatz R.A.T. 7) and ultimately proved useless. Even worse, the central compartment is where I put my textbooks and binders. That meant that mice or headphones stored in the laptop compartment risked being crushed between my textbooks and laptop, and could have potentially even damaged my laptop itself.I also found the padding somewhat lacking on the back of the bag. The central hand was good, but a strip along the base of the bag and some pads for the shoulders would have been a big improvement. One last complaint I have is that there isn't a good video by SLAPPA that compares the different faces side-by side; I really don't know if the Jedi, Transit, or KOOP faces might have been a better choice for me.I think SLAPPA could take most of their current design and, with a relatively small change, vastly improve the the MASK backpack. First, the laptop compartment should have all of the extra pockets removed. Second, the main compartment should be moved so that it is flush against the laptop section; it should have its own zipper for access. Lastly, take the pockets that were in the laptop section and make that the back of the bag, where the individual faces can be attached. That would put all of the pockets for your computer gear into one spot, where they would be less likely to be damaged. That would also move the weight of textbooks and the like closer to the body, decreasing stress on your back. This is a great backpack with lots of space for storage, pockets galore, and some neat and stylish accents. I like the idea of having the interchangeable front covers to fit you mood and needs.Still, this is a honking bag, and at this size it is in great need of a waist strap. If you fill it to anywhere near capacity, you will absolutely long for the additional support and stability. This backpack is advertised to hold a 17" notebook, but I tried it with my 18" HDX, and it fits without a problem (although the Velcro on the cover flap was stretched to the limit). Now if Slappa really wants to make it approach the perfect backpack, they will come out with a rain cover and add a cable slit for an iPod while they're at it.After two days of use:Pros: Very Durable material, lots of pockets and it definitely holds a larger size laptop. I have an ASUS G752 and it fits just fine. The nylon is extremely tough and appears that it will last a long time. There's more than enough space for extra gear, chargers etc. The lay-flat feature works great.Cons: Zippers are cheap, I snapped one off just trying to close the bag after not even 3 hours of taking it out of the box. The rest of the zippers to me don't seem all that sturdy either, definitely not up to Swiss Gear style standards. Slappa, do your customers a favor and stop using cheap a$$ stuff like this, you let your customers down.I was all in on this backpack! Been looking at it for a years. Loved the style, the look, the materials, the customization, loved it all. Once I knew I would be purchasing a laptop I went and purchased this first (that’s how excited for this bag I was). It’s been sitting in my closet for a week (nothing inside of it because I haven’t decided on what laptop to buy, you can even see the tags still on it in the pictures) and I went to go look at it again and gentlely unzipped it and the zipper snapped off. I wasn’t even upset I was laughing because it’s still in my return period luckily and I couldn’t believe how cheap it was made. I was ready to be a fanboy of this company and excited to wear the bag but this is awful. The bag feels incredible (minus the handle that also feels like it might rip off) and apparently the zippers that are made out of something super cheap. There was nothing in the bag and nothing in the way, it was a simple unzip. Unless you get it for free I’d stay away from this bag. If you love the look and don’t mind having working zippers then it could work. This made me very sad, I was excited for this bag. This bag is perfect for the kid on the go. Not only are the electronics safe and secure from routine drops, the bag is amazingly spacious. I have backpacks of all sorts from Northface to LL Bean and this is of the same or better quality and it is flat out cool. The price may seem steep, however this is one where you get what you pay for...excellent quality. As an additional note eBags as a vendor was great to work with. Exceptionally responsive customer service!!!DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZON! I purchased this bag and had some issues with the stitching, Amazon would do nothing about it but Slappa the company took care of it for me. Love the bag, fits everything I need from my HUGE MSi gaming laptop to all my mobile development devices and extras. If you're going to purchase one of their bags, go to their website directly. They are great to work with.one of the straps broke about 4 months after I bought it other than that the bag is niceI bought this for my high school son to carry his Alienware 17.3" laptop to school as well as all of his school work and it handles it all beautifully! An added bonus is is that is looks cool, is very durable and no one else has one. Score one for Mom!Its an awsome backpack! almost perfect, I just dont like the small pockets on the face, I believe its a waste of space, but thats just personal preference. This backpack is huge, I carry in this single backpack what I used to carry in x2 17 inch swiss gear laptop backpacs. My contents are the following, x1 15 inch laptop, x1 11 inch laptop, x1 Dymo Label maker, x1 8 port switch, x1 1TB usb drive, x1 power screwdriver, x1 Black & Decker® 100-Piece Screwdriver Bit Set with its Case, 4 10 meter long Cat 6e cables. x2 Power supply for the laptops, x1 Skullcandy Crushers headphones, x1 Aukey quick charge 3.0 wall charger and the backpack has still space left! On top of that if definitely water resistant! I got drenched by a passing car and all the electronics inside my backpack were protected, nothing was damaged. Most excellent backapck. It easily filts an 2017-Alienware 17 (its wider than a standard 17" laptop). Very well built, high quality materials and lots of pockets. This easily fits my Alienware 17 and my ipad pro, plus accessories. Highly recommended
